English and Surf Camp 22nd July

HI EVERYONE!

Here we introduce this week's campers! You might find many familiar faces since ten kids from last week stayed with us also this week ;)

Benjamin, Paul-Emilie, Richard, Tasmin, Pierre, Irene, Jérémie, Justine and Mercedes

They are the nine children who stayed at Pignada for this week as well!

Let's move on, the new campers:

Here is Yoann, 12 years old boy from Toulouse! He's favorite sport is horseball, which he has played for two years now. He thinks that horses are good team members because of their loyalty. Yoann prefers doing sports in a group, but he also likes surfing because sometimes it is nice to do things individually. According to Yoann, the best thing in surfing is the speed!

She is Lauren, really breezy and energetic 11 years old girl from Toulouse. She loves to do many kinds of sports like football, tennis and taekwondo! Loves surfing and learns really quickly!

He is Marc-Antoine, he is 14 years old and comes from Bordeaux. Marc-Antoine likes football and has played it for nine years in a team! Surfing is totally different kind of sport than football, but in a good way. The thing that he enjoys the most in surfing is the speed of waves!

Here is Charles, twelve years, from Paris! His favorite sport is karate and he has done it for four years. He likes surfing too and the best part of it is to slide with the waves!

She is Valentine, a fourteen years old girl from Lyon. Valentine likes surfing, especially when she catches the wave. Valentine loves winter sports -her favorite is skiing- but at the summertime she prefers surfing!

Day kids! Alexander, Matthis, Thais and Ines :)

Gabriel, who was here last week as well joined the camp this week as a day kid - cool!

Our Dutch girls Martha and Kasiaj!

And then, greetings from the camp!

We started the new camp on Sunday with introduction - as always. Everybody introduced themselves and we played some nice games together at the yard of Pignada!

The quiz night

Week has started nicely, weather has been great and we have caught some great waves :)

Hey buddies! We can see a set of waves approaching!

"Malama i ke kai" - "Cherish the ocean"

On Friday morning the kids headed to Bidart to surf Plage de l'Uhabia. Check out how all the kids have progressed in their surfing as they caught pretty big waves!

While surfing we should always pay attention to the priorities - the person closest to the breaking point of the wave has the priority to catch the wave.

Patrick taking Justine to hit the waves with a pink beautiful soft board :)

Happy little miss sunshine!

Time for lunch on the rocks!

As the heat gets you jump in the ocean to cool you down.

Watch out the wave!

On Friday night we had a nice evening together at Pignada.
